What it means

A written set of rules covering what you trade, when you enter, where you exit, how much you risk and what you record.

Why it matters when you trade

A plan exists so decisions are made in the calm and executed in the storm. Its real function is measurement: without fixed rules, results cannot be attributed to anything, so there is nothing to improve. A journal recording the reason for each trade alongside the outcome turns a series of gambles into a dataset.

Worked example

Fifty journalled trades reveal that one setup carries the entire edge and another loses steadily — invisible without the record.

See it on live markets

DexLadder runs trading plan against live market and pool data, with simulated capital, so you can watch it act on an order instead of reading about it — no account, no wallet, nothing installed.
